Decay of Logos Review

Decay of Logos Review

My Decay of Logos review. Decay of Logos is an indie cross between Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and Dark Souls for Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC! It’s incredibly ambitious though bites off more than it can chew.

I think it is best they should just delay the game and fix all the bugs . It's not worth it pushing out in this state. indie games are usually polished

Like the game but lots of gameplay flaws that take away the enjoyment you get from the game.
Switch version is just unplayable !!! That game should not be allowed to sell on the eShop ! Nintendo really need to implement a quality check !!!

Damn, I'd been looking forward to this since forever. Sounds like the kind of problems that could be patched out though, and I was going to wait dor physical anyway…

No in dark souls we can create our own character.

Really enjoying my switch and xenoblade chronicles 2. I don't see myself playing much 3rd party on it though

Im very disappointed in this game. Looked so promising. But if its barely playable on switch then im not buying it

    EDIT (8/24/19)
I received an update from the Publisher of Decay of Logos regarding patches and updates to the game. Long story short, patches are being dispatched this week. Currently, PS4/PC seem to be the best performing platforms since they've been updated with patches while Xbox/Switch are still pending. Below is the entire message I received.

"Due to a series of unfortunate events, the builds available for console preview/review are ~2 months old and contain issues that, while have since been resolved, have patches that are still pending approval.

Xbox One players: Please don't rely on current store build as representative of the final version since it suffers from serious game breaking bugs. New build pending approval.

Nintendo Switch players: A fixed version is currently pending approval. Please wait for patched version before reviewing.

PlayStation 4 players: A patched build has already gone through certification. Please update to latest before reviewing. We will also fix outstanding issues throughout the weekend.

The PC version is not affected by the above mentioned problems – we're happy to change your code to this platform if you'd wish.

All platforms will receive a day one patch to address issues that might not have been corrected in the builds currently available or those awaiting certification.

We understand that you probably have a lot of questions about how this could happen. The base of this problem has been communication issues between both external QA as well as internal departments, and we hope for your understanding in that at times, mistakes are made. The situation has been thoroughly discussed within the team, and new routines are already in place to make sure this does not happen again.

Lastly, we are very sorry for the trouble this might have caused you/your team, and if there is anything we can do from here on – don't hesitate to reach out.
